In a manner very uncharacteristic of the company, Apple has stealthily launched their latest aluminium slim tray a.k.a iPad Mini with Retina Display in the US stores. No news out on India release yet, but knowing that everything Apple reaches here through the grey market at the speed of sound, we bet many fanboys will soon be pleased.
Apple's new iPad mini with retina display costs US $399 (Rs 25,000 approx) for the 16 GB variant, $70 more than last year's model, making it the most expensive 8-inch tablet till date. Having said that, Apple does pack it with a high-resolution display and a high-end A7 processor.
Important specs include 7.9-inch screen with 2048 x 1536 (326 ppi) display, Apple's 64-bit A7 SoC, up to 128 GB of flash storage, a 5-megapixel iSight camera, and a 1.2-megapixel FaceTime HD secondary camera.
